Hi, I am Jayne, a Chiropodist, working at Fareham Osteopathic Centre.

I started my career working in business, whilst bringing up my family. After multiple years, I chose a complete career change and I decided it was about time to strive in achieving my life-long ambition to work in health and medicine.

I went to study Chiropody & Podiatry at The London Foot Hospital – University College London – where I obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Podiatric Medicine. All registered Chiropodists and Podiatrists train in medicine and anatomy, covering many diseases including Diabetes, Arthritis, Heart and Circulation, Biomechanics, skeletal problems, etc. As part of my Honours degree, I had to train alongside medical students, where we did three years of manual-skills training and practice, treating real patients.

Upon graduation, I took a Senior II position with the NHS in Kent in order to consolidate my clinical skills. After two years I started my own business, which I built from scratch to over 1,000 clients. Not long after this I also acquired a 60-year-old established business in Surrey, and ran both practices together, managing a patient list of over 2,000 patients.

As a result of all my qualifications, I can offer a full range of Chiropody & Podiatry treatments, from basic corn and callous removal to Nail Surgery and Biomechanics. To ensure your comfort my qualification also enables me to administer local anaesthetics.

I possess mandatory membership of the official regulation and patient protection body, the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and I also proa member of The College of Podiatry (MCoP). I am registered with a number of Health Insurance Companies, as many state you must have treatment done by a fully qualified Podiatrist/ Chiropodist to claim.
